The Box

This residence was planned to take advantage of its corner location by maximising yard space for the occupant’s children. The house turned its back on the laneway and used a layering of fence types for privacy and ventilation. The simple building form was articulated to provide shade and weather control while allowing an outlook to the bush beyond. The painted timber chamfer boards provide a relationship with the coastal architecture in the area.
